Weekly Haul Report: Good Week for Game Gear

This last week of game hunting proved to be pretty bountiful for us here at Super Retro Bros.  Sadly, every local thrift store I checked out turned out to be nothing more than a barren wasteland of retro depression, I was actually able to find some good deals on Ebay of all things. Ebay is like a douchey friend (love you Ebay). You are annoyed by its overinflated sense of self worth, but every once in a while you really need it and appreciate it for being there.

Lately I have been looking for a good deal on some Neo Geo Pocket games to play on my new handheld, but this week did not prove to be the right time for that.. Instead I stumbled upon some good deals on games for another handheld love of mine. The Sega Game Gear.  Here are the games I picked up...

The Game Gear Games:

Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse
Dynamite Heady
Sonic The Hedgehog 1
Sonic  The Hedgehog 2 (5)
Joe Montana Football
Olympic Gold
The Majors Pro Baseball
Clutch Hitter
Captain America and The Avengers
The Jungle Book
The Lion King
Tom & Jerry The Movie
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie
VR Troopers
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Psychic World
Pac Man
Arcade Classics
Wheel of Fortune
Sonic Drift 2
Urban Strike
Solitaire Poker

Of course one bundle of Game Gear games had multiple copies of Sonic 2 included ,but there were enough other great games to balance out the bundle and it still be a great deal. Plus its a game that every Game Gear owner needs a copy of so I wont complain. I will just get rid of the extras for dirt cheap and call it a day. Aside from the small grip of Game Gear Games I also was able to find a good deal on a certain Game Boy Advance game that I have had my eye on for quite a while.

 Game Boy Advance Game:

Medal of Honor Infiltrator

Though this is usually a fairly cheap and common game I still try my best to get the best deals I can on retro games, so I can continue to enjoy this hobby without going completely broke. This game is an unexpected gem. Its an top view shooter with awesome graphics and really great gameplay. If you have a GBA and haven't checked it out, you definitely should.

Overall I think it was definitely a pretty good week for us. Sure no golden items, but still enough variety and selection of fun games to keep us occupied for quite a while. Did you find any good deals lately? If so, we would love to hear about it.
